China sends about 120 million tourists to other countries annually and more than 85 million tourists visit this country each year.
According to statistics in 2017, about 115 thousands of Iranians traveled to China, while on the other hand, more than 100 thousand Chinese visited Iran the same year. However, Iranian tourism activists hope to attract more than this in coming years.
A number of Chinese tourism activists attending Beijing International Tourism Fair have sought government cooperation and support while seeking to attract foreign tourists to Iran.
*** Tourist Attraction,main goal of the exhibition
This year's exhibition is one of the most important tourism exhibitions in the world, which is held every year in Beijing late April, 'Farhad Baqerzadeh, representative of Iranian Cultural Heritage , Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in Beijing said to IRNA.
'Beijing exhibition is held in 4,000 square meters and is attended by 85 countries, including Islamic Republic of Iran,' he added.
*** Chinese are interested in traveling to Iran
'The Chinese are interested in traveling to Iran and understanding our country, and this exhibition could have such a capacity to introduce Iran to them, ' said Hossein Khalifi' representative of Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in Shanghai.
'Iran, with great investment opportunities, free zone areas and special trade areas, embraces Chinese investors in various industrial fields.
