Baku welcomes launching Iran-Azerbaijan cultural center

During the meeting, Azeri minister said time is ripe to launch cultural center in the Islamic Republic of Iran as Iran's cultural activities in Azerbaijan is now bearing fruits.

We take pride to host Iran's cultural figures and artists, said Azeri minister.

Setting up of cultural week in Azerbaijan is a good opportunity to examine expansion of cultural relations and cooperation, he said.

The two sides' officials should study shared cultural heritage and register them at UNESCO, he said.

Cultural affinity between the two countries can be seen in architecture, literature, handicrafts and carpet- weaving which can help bolster cultural cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Good relations between Baku and Tehran dissatisfy the ill-wishers, he said.

Iran's Cultural Week is to be held in Baku on June 27-July 1.
