ARMENPRESS to open office in Iran

Ananian made the remarks recently in a meeting with deputy foreign minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour.

Referring to new technical developments in sharing news and information and end to monopoly of big news agencies, he stressed using new technologies to produce and share news.

Ananian also urged news agencies to be active in social networks and artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, Rahimpour pointed to south-north trade corridor as important for Iranian and Armenian news agencies to pay attention to.

He referred to good ties between Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan as an important factor in maintaining peace in the region.
