Amir Kabir University ranks 1st in int’l invention

The university stood in the first place during last two years, Malek Naderi said.

The ranking has been announced by Iran Patent Center, he said.

IPRs create tradable assets out of products of human intellect and provide a large array of IPR tools on which businesses can rely on to help drive their success through innovative business models. Inventions، whether products or processes، are conceptualized to solve specific technological problems. When they are patented, inventions contribute to the increase of the Global Competitiveness Index of the country.

Over %31.5 of the foreign inventions registered in Iran Patent Center is related to Amirkabir University of Technology, he added.

He went on to say that the university also ranked first in innovation.

Amirkabir University of Technology, formerly called the Tehran Polytechnic, is a public research university located in Tehran, Iran. AUT was the first established technical university in Iran, referred to as 'Mother of Engineering Universities'.
