Al-Jarida has no official correspondent in Iran

No permit has so far been issued with this regard, Shiravi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

He made the remarks regarding the news on Fazad Qasemi who called himself as Al-Jarida reporter in Iran.

'We do not know him and no permit has been issued for his activities in Iran,' he noted.

Iran policy is to host foreign correspondents; Shiravi said, adding 'We expect Al-Jarida to follow regulations.'

Reacting to fake news released by Kuwaiti Daily with Qasemi’s title, he said Iran Embassy in Kuwait had earlier filed complaint over this issue with Kuwait Foreign Ministry aw well as Information Ministry.

This is while Al-Jarida has violated Iran administrative laws, he reiterated.

He went on to say that Kuwaiti media like, Kuwait news agency (KUNA), Kuwait TV and dailies like Al-Qabas and Al Rai had earlier been active in Tehran and 'We have no problems with them.'
