ACD Chief: Iran to become global tourist destination

Addressing the International Conference of Hamedan as the “ACD Tourism Capital, 2018” Bundit Limschoon said the organization is ready to support Iran 'in creating a more productive, responsible and universally accessible tourism sector industry.'

He stressed that the 34-member state platform with millions of people will continue to promote investments in Iran's tourism industry.

'As the cradle of world civilization, Iran has a magnificent place to offer,' he said.

'I am very confident that Iran will become a new tourist destination to tell the stories of its great Persian Empire, where ancient civilization began,' the official said.

He said that as a result of the conference and designation of Hamedan as the tourism capital of Asia, the beauty of the city and the culture of Hamedan would be reflected by the 34 member-states of ACD through media.

At the second meeting of the Asian Dialogue Forum, which was held in Siem Reap town of Cambodia, Hamedan was proposed as the capital of Asian tourism. The proposal, which was approved by the members, was submitted to the ACD Assembly at the request of Hamedan provincial authorities, the website of the event reports.
