Academic cooperation most significant way to fight extremism: Cleric

Leader of Ibadiyah Society of the North Africa and Tunisia sheikh Farhat bin Ali A-jabiri at the meeting with the president of the University of Islamic Sects praised holding of the Ibadiyah Jurisprudence course and the activities of the university.

Al- jabiri, in the visit held in Tunisia, welcomed the expansion of religious and academic cooperation with the University of Islamic Sects.

While expressing his satisfaction with the visit and the academic, religious interactions of the two countries, especially the presence of the University of Islamic Sects, the senior cleric pointed to the great scientific progress in Iran during the trips to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

'We hope that these scientific, academic and religious dialogues and communications will expand so that we can confront the extremist and takfiri thoughts and groups,' he added.

Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari, president of the University of Islamic Sects, for his part, said, 'The University of Islamic Sects is the only university model in the world that was launched on the initiative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, so that followers of the Islamic schools, with the help of their teachers would learn and experience a peaceful life.”
