4.5 magnitude quake rocks southern Iranian town

According to the Seismological Centre of the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the earthquake struck Banaruiyeh, a town in Larestan township, at 11:58:03 local time (03:28:03 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was 54.23 degrees longitude and 28.01 degrees latitude, with a depth of 19 kilometers, 244 km south of Shiraz.

There has been no report yet on the possible damage caused by the earthquake.
