
According to the report, the quake took place at 3:37:52 hours local time Wednesday (23:07 GMT Tuesday) at 48.72 degrees longitude and 3`1.91 degrees altitude at the depth of nine kilometers underground.
Te epicenter of the quake was registered at 6 km from Gouriyeh, 20 km from Shushtar and 36 km from Alvan in Khuzestan province.
No report is available yet on possible casualties or damage to property.
