4.1-magnitue quake jolts western Iran

According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 22:30 hours local time (18:00 GMT) at the depth of 10 km underground.

No report on possible damage to life or properties has been released yet.

Epicenter of the quake was at 33.65 degrees longitude and 47.68 degrees latitude.

Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
