The short animation ‘Alphabet’ which is directed by Kianoush Abedi won the best animation award at the Artists Association of New York film festival.
The latest work of the Iranian record-breaking award winner director Kianoush Abedi was nominated for the most prestigious award in the American film festival as well.
The third edition of the event was held from October 11-13 in New York, US.
‘Empty View’, another animation made by Iranian animation-makers, that had taken part in the US-based Strasburg Film Festival was another animation nominated for the best award.
The animation has won eight awards and has been nominated 21 times.
Ali Zare Ghanatnowi is the director and the co-scriptwriter of ‘Empty View’.
Strasburg Film Festival will be held on November 9-11 in the Virginia, US.
The short Iranian documentary ‘Lotus’, directed by Mohammadreza Vatandoust, is planned to be displayed in Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival on October 29.
The Czech-based festival is one of the most renowned documentary film events in the Europe and is underway from October 25-30.
