2500-year old urns seized in northern Iran

'Pirkooh Police was informed on illegal excavations in a village in the area,' said Colonel Hameed Mohammadi.

Ambushing the three wrongdoers, the police could arrest them, confiscate a medium-size and a small urn, he added.

He also said that some excavation equipment was confiscated as well.

The 62, 40, 40-year old detainees were delivered to the judiciary authorities.
