18,000 Afghan students studying at Iranian universities

Abdul Basir Salangi said on Monday at a meeting of the scientific and academic collaboration of South Khorasan and Farah province that 6,000 students are studying in the provinces of South Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan and North Khorasan.

'Since some conditions do not provide the educational environment for youth in Afghanistan, especially Farah province, we still need the cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of education.'

Farah governor stated, 'Having a lot of commons including borders, language, culture and common concerns in some issues, including our security, it forces us for more cooperation with Iran.'

He stated that in Afghanistan, education and entry into universities have been provided for some issues, including 40-year and current wars.
