In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Mir Reza Majidi said on Saturday that at the level of the province of East Azerbaijan, the strongest manpower is scientifically in this university, noting, 'On this basis, we expect to use the professors of this university center in a proper and appropriate manner to work in specialized teams to solve the problems of the province.'
He added, 'Wherever we have referred to university, the problems have been solved; in sacred defense, the needs and equipment of the war, have been resolved and provided by the universities, and now, if the government and community believe the university, it will solve the problem.'
Tabriz University, with more than seven decades of history and having 24,000 students, is the second oldest university in the country after the University of Tehran.
