1.5-thousand year old pottery seized in Iran

'After the some cultural heritage lovers' report about illicit excavations in a house in a village, research was done and it was found out that the report is true,' said Brigadier-General Amir Rahmatollahi.

The protection unit agents were sent to the area and found 12 pottery pieces dating back to the Sassanid Era, and matal detector machine, three drill bits, and some other excavation equipment in the house.

Regarding the issue, two people were arrested and sent to the judicial authorities.
