
Robinson made the remarks in a workshop dubbed as;’ Awareness of land mine dangers”.
He said Iran has high degree of knowledge and experiences in that concern.
He added that Iran Red Crescent Society and ICRC are offering the workshop project for the past 12 years.
Robinson said because of the regional war in such Middle Eastern countries as Iraq and Yemen, it was a difficult year.
Head of Planning and specialized training bureau of Red Crescent Society of Iran (RCSI) Relief and Rescue Organization Mohammad Ali Kavoosi said considering plenty of incidents related to land mine in Iran holding such training courses may prevent damage and consequences of such incidents.
Director for participation program of the ICRC Farhad Arabpour said that was the first workshop in year 2017 and added that the aim of the workshop is to promote level of instructors and increase coordination in training projects.
In the 3-day workshop, which kicked off in Mashad on Tuesday, instructors from six provinces involved with land mine including Ilam, west Azarbaijan, Kurdistan, Khuzestan, Kermanshah and Khorasan Razavi are attending.
