President congratulates jounior weightlifters' global championship

The International Weightlifting Federation Junior World Championships was held in Tokyo from June 16-23. Iran’s junior team won for the championship for the second consecutive year winning two gold and two bronze medals at the tournament.

President Rouhani appreciated the Iranian team’s managers and coaches, particularly the weightlifters, who made all Iranians happy for the second successive year.

He also hoped for continuous success of the Iranian youth in all international fields including sports.

Japan and China ranked second and third respectively at the contest.
