ITTF medal of honor goes to Iranian sport authority

The Iranian National Olympics Committee announced on Tuesday that in the general assembly of the ITTF in Dusseldorf, Germany, Shahnazi, 63, was awarded the medal with the decision of the managing committee.

The honor was given to him as a token of gratitude for his 30-year national, continental, and global attempts.

This is the first time an Iranian receives this medal. On one side of the medal the logo of the ITTF and on the other side Shahnazi’s name are engraved.
