Syrian PM congratulates Rouhani’s re-election

Khamis made the remarks Wednesday in a meeting with chairman of Iran’s Economic Development Committee Saeed Ohadi.

During the meeting, he pointed to the Syrian people and army’s success as an outcome of Iran’s all-out support.

Leaders and senior officials of many countries have so far extended congratulations on Rouhani’s victory.

The incumbent President Hassan Rouhani won a landslide victory obtaining over 23.4 million of votes (57%) from more than 41 million ballots cast on May 19 in the 12th presidential election held on Friday.
