Zarif, Afghan National Security Advisor discuss issues of interest

Zarif said in the meeting that the two countries are brothers and enjoy the same culture and need to further bilateral cooperation.

Prior to the meeting, Zarif had met the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani to talk on economic collaboration and fighting against terrorism and narcotics.

He is also going to separately meet Abdullah Abdullah, the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Hamid Karzai, the former president of the country.

In the meetings, various aspects of mutual ties, expansion of relations and the latest regional and global developments are going to be discussed.

Zarif arrived in Afghanistan on Sunday and was welcomed by his Afghan counterpart.
