Iran ranks 1st in publishing qualitative articles in region, Islamic world

In 2015, Iran published 222 articles which were among 1% top articles but the figure reached 312 items in 2016 meaning that Iran stood on the first place in the region and the Islamic world in 2016, Head of the Islamic World Science Citation Center Mohammad Javad Dehqani said.

During 2011-2012, Iran ranked fourth and third respectively in publishing one percent of top articles. In 2013-2015, Iran stood on the second place.

One percent top articles also known as highly-cited signify the qualitative growth of science products.
