Iran to attend Oman’s Conference on Investment in Culture

He further noted that the event will be organized from April 11-12 by Oman Cultural Club in cooperation with the country’s Economic Association.

The international confab will seek to forge ties between culture and economy as the two major categories in the development of societies.

Deputy Head of Iran’ Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organziation Bahman Namvar-Motlaq will take part in the upcoming event while Mohammad Ali Hossein-Nejad, a cinematic activist, is to deliver a lecture on investment in Iran’s cinema industry.

Topics for discussion during the conference include economic dimensions of culture, cultural investment and culture policymaking and innovation, economic development in cultural sector, role of human resources in culture, he said.

Culture is considered the fourth pillar of sustainable development following the economic development, social development and environment protection.
