Sanaie made the remark in an address to a group of Iranian, Russia, Afghan, Tajik, and Azeri citizens on the occasion of Norouz.
He said relations between Iran and Russia in almost the past four years have been unprecedented and historical and hoped that President Rouhani’s imminent visit will result in drastic jump in mutual cooperation.
He added that conclusion of key protocols for economic and commercial relations and scientific and technological cooperation testify the claim.
The diplomat said both countries managed to overcome stagnation of economic ties and volume of trade showed more than 80 percent growth in 2016 compared to that the previous year.
