
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 14:03 hours local time (10:33 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 98.34 degrees longitude and 88.46 degrees latitude and in depth of 8 kilometers underground.
The institute also announced another tremor measuring 3.9 on Richter scale jolted again the area at 14:31 hours local time.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage of these two earthquakes.
Komyaran city is located 65 kilometers south of Sanandaj, capital of Kurdestan province in west of Iran.
