
The Islamic Revolution in Iran will remain in our minds and hearts and it is considered one of the major events of the 20th century, Ryabkov said in remarks made after a recent meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi in The Russian capital Moscow.
The deputy foreign ministers from Russia and Iran held lengthy talks on Wednesday and Thursday on the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and possible challenges ahead of the full implementation of the landmark deal.
Ryabkov, hailing the Iranian people’s role in the victory of the Islamic Revolution as valuable, said that these days are observed not only in Iran but also here, in Moscow.
Araqchi and Ryabkov also discussed other international and regional issues, including recent developments in Syria, establishment of sustainable ceasefire in the county, the issue of a nuclear-free Middle East as well as bilateral relations between Tehran and Moscow.
