Minister:Tourism can enhance ties between nations

Salehi-Amiri made the remarks during the inauguration ceremony of the 10th edition of Tehran International Tourism Exhibition in Tehran.

He added the ground is prepared for hosting foreign tourists inside the country.

Thanks to Iran’s security and stability, the minister reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is considered as the safest country across the globe.

He also invited peoples of all countries to travel to Iran and become familiar with the country’s tourism attractions, cultural heritage, handicrafts, art and culture. He also described Iran as a land full of new tourism attractions.

Iran has a great potential in tourism industry. According to the official figures, the number of foreign tourists visiting Iran has grown by 12 percent over the past two years.

This is while the number has increased only by 6.4 percent over the same period at international level.
