Iranian national tennis team arrives Pakistan for 'Davis Cup'

Pakistan is hosting the Davis Cup for the first time since 2005 because the International Tennis Federation (ITF) had not permitted Pakistan to host such events due to security issues.

Anoosha Shahgholi, Shahin Khaledan, Hamid Reza Naddaf, Alborz Akhavan and Amir Hossein Badi are main members of Iranian national tennis team visiting Pakistan.

The games will be played at Pakistan Sport Board’s refurbished synthetic courts from Feb 3 to 5.

The Davis Cup is the first round of Asia Oceania Group II. Besides Pakistan and Iran, other countries in this group are Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Kuwait and Philippines.
