President: Iran not a threat to global peace

Addressing tens of foreign and domestic reporters in a press conference on Tuesday, President Rouhani highlighted the significant achievement of the JCPOA for the Islamic republic of Iran.
The significant achievement should not be exclusively attributed to the 11th government rather to the Iranian nation as well as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, he said.
'The victory should be dedicated to martyrs and the devoted nation,' underlined President Rouhani.
In another word, it was the victory of 'ethics' and in fact the great Iranian nation proved their victory in ethics through sound implementation of the JCPOA, he said.
'We never looked for proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and what it had been told about the Iranian nation and also use of WMDs was a sheer lie,' he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran always tells the truth and those who have spread fabricated lies should be shamful, Rouhani said.
'The JCPOA was a political victory for the Iranian nation as we proved that there is no room for security confrontation with us,' he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran plays key role in regional and global developments and its absence will be source of regret, he said.
The issue of Iranophobia is totally out of question, underlined President Rouhani said Iran is looking for restoration of peace and security round the globe.
Iran removed all tyrannical sanctions with the hands of those who had imposed them against the country and 'this should be regarded as a big victory,' President Rouhani said.
From the beginning of the nuclear negotiations, Iran insisted that nuclear enrichment is among its legitimate rights and the country should continue its peaceful nuclear activities and now this has been verified by the IAEA.
Iran has also achieved a very significant economic triumph 'as from early stages we have underlined that all economic sanctions should be lifted instantly and not step by step and this was materialized through sound implementation of the JCPOA,' he said.
All sanctions in oil, petrochemical, precious metals, transportation, insurance and banking cooperation have been lifted, added the Chief Executive.
