Head of the Research Center for Islamic Sciences and Culture, Hojjatoleslam Najaf Lakzaei, told IRNA on Sunday that the Policymaking Council was set up in Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) two years ago following approval of the Culture and Civilization Commission of the High Council of Cultural Revolution to make plans for scientific and cultural talks between Iran and Arab states.
Inaugural ceremony of the conference will be held next Saturday and director of Iranian Seminaries, head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Chancellor of the Religions and Denominations are to address the gathering, Lakzaei said.
Some 15 foreign guests from Jordan, Iraq, Algeria, Syria, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Tunisia and Bahrain will take part in the conference, he said, adding that the gathering includes four specialized discussion panels themed 'Moderation and Rationality in Islamic Scholars' Thought and Action', 'Moderation and Rationality in Religious Teachings', 'Moderation and Rationality in Cultural Dialogues' and 'Moderation and Rationality and Countering Extremism'.
Some 50 articles have so far been submitted to the secretariat of the conference, Lakzaei said, noting that 30 of them will be presented during the conference.
