Arab states to import rose, herbal waters from Fars prov.

'Since the littoral Arab states of the Persian Gulf are eager to import rose and herbal waters from Fars Province, presence of a consortium from Maymand City in Oman exhibition will pave the way to marketing of such products,' Managing Director of Fars Province Industrial Townships Company, Shahpour Qanbari, said on Saturday.

Qanbari made the remarks in the steering committee meeting of the Export Consortium of Rose and Herbal Waters of Maymand city.

The Company allocated subsidies to a number of the members of the Consortium to attend Iran's exclusive exhibition in Italy from November 22-26, 2016 and succeeded to put their capabilities on display there.

Qanbari said there are 67 traditional and industrial units in Maymand busy producing rose water and 60 different types of herbal waters.

Rose Flower is cultivated in 6,935 hectares of lands in Fars Province.

More than 9 million liters of rose water is produced in Fars Province annually.
