Memorial book opens in New York for late Ayatollah Rafsanjani

Representatives from several countries attended the Iranian Mission and wrote notes for the late Ayatollah and expressed sympathy with the Iranian government and people on the sad occasion.

Ayatollah Rafsanjani died on Jan 8 at the age of 82 due to a heart attack in a hospital in north of Tehran.

Rafsanjani, a veteran cleric, a pillar of the Islamic Revolution and a leading politician served in different positions after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
