Iranian ambassador, Dagestan president review enhancement of ties

The meeting was held at the Iranian embassy in Moscow.

Abdulatipov called for partnership of Iranian investors in several development projects in this Russian republic.

Abdulatipov said that development of the Port of Makhachkala in the northwestern coasts of the Caspian Sea is one of the most significant projects, calling on Iranians to take part in the project.

The President said that there are deep cultural relations between Iran and this part of Russia and that in light of the economic potentials the future is bright for further cooperation.

The Iranian ambassador, for his part, said that there are abundant capacities for economic cooperation between Iran and Dagestan.

Sanaei said that longstanding relations between Iran and Dagestan can play a significant role in enhancement of Iran's ties with southern Russia and northern Caucasus.
