Iran Karateka grabs gold in China

The 2019 Karate 1 - Premier League Shanghai started with the attendance of 543 Karatekas from 76 countries in Shanghai, China.

Iranian athletes successfully reached the final match in which Ganjzadeh showed supremacy over his fellow Iranian Karateka Saleh Abazari and ranked first.

Iran's Ali Karimi in the weight category of – 67 kg was overpowered by Venezuela and received a silver medal.

In – 75kg weight category, Bahman Asgari was hit by Uzbek rival and snatched a silver medal.

Iranian squad received 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Iranian male and female squads participated in Kata and Kumite categories to receive 2020 Summer Olympics quota.
