Iran, Indonesia sign action plan on health cooperation

The meeting was held on the sidelines of Geneva Health Forum in Geneva.

The action plan deals with both countries' cooperation in manufacturing vaccines, health coverage, Primary Health Care (PHC), communicative diseases, medical emergency and disaster management.

The plan was signed by managing director of Iran Health Ministry for international affairs and vice health minister of Indonesia for pharmaceutical affairs.

During the meeting, Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki referred to high capacities for Iran, Indonesia cooperation, saying establishing cooperation with Asian states is a priority for Iran.

Pointing to US cruel sanctions against Iran, he said Indonesia as a friend and Muslim country will be able to promote both countries cooperation in health field.

He added that cooperation between Iran and Indonesia will reinforce relations between Islamic countries.
