Khanzadi made the announcement at a press conference held this morning in Tehran.
Based on bilateral talks, Russian vessels planned to get berthed at southern Iranian ports in next coming months to perform maneuver, the Navy commander added.
The commander said that Iran's naval forces will follow technical, educational and operational cooperation with their Russian counterparts.
Asked about naval cooperation between Iran and Italy, the commander replied that Italian flotilla has already taken berth at the Iranian ports, so that Iran may take reciprocal visit to the Mediterranean Sea at the invitation of the Italian side.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the commander answered to a question about the threat made by the Zionist regime of Israel against the Iranian oil tankers, saying Iran as an independent country will surely interact with the world countries which demand Iranian oil.
Free seas belong to all world nations, and all can peacefully use the international waters, the Iranian Navy commander said in a reference to International Law of the Sea.
Iran will keep escorting Iranian commercial ships, said Khanzadi adding 'Iranian oil tankers are part of national territory,' and the naval forces will confidently defend the tankers.
Elaborating on his recent travel to China, the commander said the two sides held talks on ways to promote technical and naval cooperation.
As Khanzadi said, the main point of the meetings held in China has been security in high seas, exchange of information and broad cooperation.
Touching upon the presence of the United States in the region, the commander said they are after divergence in the region.
At the end of his remarks, the Navy commander stressed the importance of focusing on the issue of teaching and joint training in order to reach international understanding in the high seas.
Iran enjoys good geographical position in the region.
The Strait of Hormuz, the passage for Iranian territorial waters, is situated on southern part of the country. It is at the mouth of Persian Gulf on southern Iran is the world’s most important sea lane for carrying 30 percent of crude oil.
