‘One Belt-One Road’ opportunity for judicial cooperation

Head of the National Inspectorate Organization Nasser Seraj, who traveled to China to attend the Second International Conference of 'One Belt-One Road', said, 'This initiative provides an opportunity for all-out judicial, monitoring and inspection cooperation, ombudsman and countering corruption with other countries in the route.”

'Ombudsman referred to an impartial person or office whose job is to inspect individuals’ rights violations by the state or institutions and companies. This duty is usually delegated by the government or parliament to the ombudsman, but he has also been given a lot of independence. In Iran, the National Inspectorate Organization is responsible for this task.

In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday, Seraj referred to the initiative of 'One Belt, One Road' as one of the main strategies for the comprehensive development of the countries of this route.

'Increasing regional cooperation and establishing institutions to expand foreign trade in the continent of Asia, is imperative to counter the avarices and financial monopoly of the United States.”

The Iranian official went on to say that the One Belt, One Road initiative is effective in creating countries' economic growth and raising the national currency value and gross domestic product of the member-states.”

Referring to the differences between American and Chinese policies on the international scene, he noted, 'While the United States is making the wall between countries and looking for boundaries, China takes the walls and requests from different countries the fringe of the old Silk Road to discuss their problems and clarify the crimes of these countries with their presence at this international conference.

The head of the National Inspection Organization, referring to his proposal at the international conference for the creation of a warning group, called the Guardians of the Road, expressed hope that the group could, by carrying out the tasks for which it was defined, play a fundamental role in consolidating the organizational structure of the 'One Belt-One Road' initiative.

The Iranian senior official on Thursday in a meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of China in Beijing praised the Chinese government's stance against the US unilateralism and to oppose the outrageous sanctions against the people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The second international 'One Belt-One Road' Conference began in Beijing on Thursday with the presence of delegations from 110 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, three delegations headed by Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Farhad Dejpasand, Chief of Inspectorate Organization of Iran Nasser Seraj, and member of the Expediency Council Haddad Adel have participated at the conference.

During his visit to Kazakhstan and Indonesia in July 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the construction of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “21st-Century Maritime Silk Road', respectively, which eventually came up with the title 'One Belt, One Road' and was introduced to the world.

The project initially began with China’s investment of more than one trillion dollars, and so far 124 countries and 29 international organizations have signed a cooperation agreement with China.

The official opening ceremony of this summit was scheduled to be held with the presence of Chinese President Xi JinPing in Beijing on Friday.

The 2nd international 'One Belt-One Road' Conference continues until 27 April.
