Official underscores strong ties between Iran, Turkey

Iran’s Consul-General in Istanbul Mohsen Mortezayeefar made the remarks addressing a gathering of the consul-generals residing in Istanbul on Wednesday.

He voiced his sympathy with the Turkish nation over the ordeal they faced due to the failed coup, and reiterated Iran’s support for the legitimate government of Turkey.

Mortezayeefar said that the Turkish people’s support for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s governments shows the democratic system of that country.
