Turkey sympathizes with Iran floods survivors

According to Turkish media ‘Anadolou Agency’, releasing a video on Thursday, Ors Turkish embassy on behalf of Turkey government had expressed readiness to help Iranian flood-hit brothers.

He added that Turkish Red Crescent also dispatched five trailers together with a seven-member group to held Iranian people in north of the country.

Ors noted that Iran is a powerful country and Turkey just helped to offer its sympathy with Iranians.

Stressing the importance of offering aids for Turkey, he said that Turkey rendered its assistance without any racial, religious or ethnic discrimination.

Earlier, Head of Golestan Red Crescent Society Mohammad Ali Heravi announced that, Turkey’s aids was distributed among people in Tazeh Abad Village, Aqqala City.

Unprecedented heavy rains caused floods in various parts of Iran over past two weeks. Scores of people were killed and 478 others were injured while a large number of people were displaced across Iran.

The disaster coincided with the high season of Iranians' trips as they were spending the national two-week holidays of Nowruz.

Several regional countries, such as Russia and Kuwait as well as a few European states have sent in in-kind assistance to be received by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in the flood-hit regions.

Some 70 people have been killed as a result of the deadly floods that have left hundreds of thousands homeless.
