In separate meetings with Supreme Leader’s representative in Iraq and Iran’s general consul in Najaf, they appreciated Iranian government and nation for their helps in fights against Daesh and expressed solidarity with the affected people.
“Geographical borders cannot distance the two Iranian and Iraqi nations from each other. We share your grief and joy, as you stood alongside us in various situations,” they said.
Iran’s general consul, for his part, thanked them for their brotherly messages, saying that no supporter to Iraq is better than Iran, as there is no better supporter to Iran better than Iraq.
Since the enemy has understood the point, it has taken aim at the two nations’ unity and brotherhood and is seeking to undermine it, he said.
