There are lots of capcities for improvement of cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, Iran's First Deputy Parliament Speaker Masoud Pezeshkian said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Iraqi MPs headed by Mahasen Saadoun.
The Iranian lawmaker called for implementation of bilateral agreement between Iran and Iraq and the two countries cooperation in field of joint venture.
In the meantime, head of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation said for his part that Iraq welcomes improvement of cooperation with Iran.
She also invited the Iranian companies to help reconstruction of Iraq in the post-terrorism era.
Iraq attaches importance to relations with the neighboring countries, in particular, Iran, the MP added.
The lawmaker called for facilitation of visa issuance between Iran and Iraq.
The Iraqi parliamentary delegation accompanied Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi who arrived in Iran on Saturday morning.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at a joint news conference with Abdul Mahdi said the talks with the Iraqi prime minister include discussing the agreements reached at his recent visit to Baghdad, increasing trade and economic exchanges, Arvandroud dredging, Shalamcheh rail link to Basra.
The visit by the Iraqi prime minister to Tehran took place at the head of a high-ranking delegation when less than a month ago Rouhani visited Iraq at the head of a high-ranking delegation.
