In a joint press conference with his Iraqi guest Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi here on Saturday, the President highlighted the importance of the issue of security for both countries.
Abdul-Mahdi arrived in the Iranian capital this morning.
Referring to his recent visit to Baghdad, he appreciated Iraqi hospitality.
On Tehran-Baghdad ties, the Iranian president said the two enjoy deep historical relations and the neighboring countries have witnessed growing cooperation in history.
About his meeting with Iraqi premier, President Rouhani said it focused on implementation of the mutual agreements reached between the two during the March trip to Iraq.
