Lebanon, Iran to develop academic cooperation

Chancellor of Lebanon University (LU) Fouad Ayoub attended Iran's embassy in Beirut on Thursday and met with the Ambassador Mohammad Jalal Feirouznia.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop academic relations between LU and Iranian universities in different fields of technical, engineering, health and medical education and Persian literature.

LU is the largest and sole state university in Lebanon and plays very important role in development of higher education in Lebanon.

Officials from Iran and Lebanon signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday March 4, 2019 to exchange students between the two countries.

Iranian Technical and Vocational University is to hold short-term workshops for Lebanese trainers and educates Lebanese students for undergraduate level.
