'Financial transfers with the Islamic Republic of Iran are now the biggest problem facing the European Union, and the union is firmly seeking to fix the problem,' Stefan Scholz said at a meeting with the Central Province economic activists on Tuesday evening.
He went on to say, 'Last week, talks have been held with Iranian banks to solve the financial transfer problem between the two sides.'
The Austrian ambassador in Tehran noted, 'There is a humanitarian exception to transfer money in the field of medicine, but there are difficulties in the field of transport of petroleum products and petrochemicals and other commodities which are against the sanctions and the law.'
“The development of tourism, industry and culture is three main areas of interest in two countries to increase ties,' Scholz noted.
