'A three-year vision has been planned for the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) with the aim to make it the most influential news agency,' IRNA Managing Director Zia Hashemi said at a forum with directors, editors in chief and heads of IRNA regional offices in Tehran.

Referring to the agencies jump from 71 to 14 among 95 Iranian organizations and enterprises in the latest ranking in terms of e-governance, he said that IRNA has recorded similar significant jump in terms of audience.

Data show that the number of hits on IRNA website has been increased over the past few months by 20 to 30 percent, he said.

The two-day forum is attended by Mahmoud Vaezi, Iran's President Chief of Staff, and Hessam Eddin Ashena, President Rouhani's aid on media and head of Center for Strategic Research.

Some senior Iranian officials including Bahram Qasemi, spokesman of foreign ministry, will deliver speeches at the forum.

A website of IRNA public relation department as well as IRNA Plus will be unveiled at the event.

The 84-year old news agency has 54 local and 22 foreign offices that release the news in 8 languages.
