“After 10 years of continuing efforts and discussions with the Secretary-General and senior officials of IOSCO and other officials, Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) was accepted as one of the “Associate” members of International Organization of Securities Commissions in 2016,' Shapoor Mohammadi explained.

'The SEO efforts to promote membership from ' Associate ' to ' Ordinary ' began which is now finally achieved', he added.

Mohammadi noted that IOSCO constitutes 95 % of the world capital markets and the presence of Iran will lead to exchange of information at the highest level of capital market with regulatory bodies on the capital market of members of IOSCO.
