Emergency helicopters allowed to travel to Iraq during Arbaeen days

Kolivand said under the MoU, better services will be provided for the pilgrims of Arbaeen.

He added, 'Our rapid medical reaction teams can enter Iraq quickly and unconditionally, transferring patients to the country.'

He continued, 'During the past few days in Iraq, a meeting was held with the Consulate General of Najaf and Karbala on the provision of services to the pilgrims of Arbaeen.'

Noting that the MoU envisions bilateral cooperation, the Iranian official called for the establishment of a joint health and treatment working group to look into the issue.

He said the two sides had also agreed that the health professionals and specialists, in charge of management and prevention of contagious diseases in Iraq, will along with Iraqi teams supervise and monitor the services that are needed during and in way of Arbaeen's marches.
