New Iran ambassador submits credentials to Lebanon president

In a ceremony held in the presence of Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Iranian Ambassador Mohammad-Jalal Firouznia submitted his credentials to President Michel Aoun.

During the meeting, the Lebanese president and the Iranian envoy stressed the necessity of developin bilateral ties.

Firouznia started work in Beirut early August.

He replaced Mohammad Fathali and already served as director general for Persian Gulf Department at Foreign Ministry.

Firouznia already served as Iran's ambassador in Malaysia, Yemen and Bahrain as well.
