Iran’s representative in 72kg category Rouhollah Rostami snatched a silver medal by lifting 211kgs in 2018 Para Powerlifting Asia-Oceania Championships.
Another Iranian athlete also won silver medal in 65kg category on Sunday.
Iran’s representative in 49kg category Alireza Izadi claimed a gold medal and broke junior Asian and world record with a 140kg lift on Saturday.
The 2018 Para Powerlifting Asia-Oceania Open Championships is underway Sept 8-12 in Kitakyushu, Japan.
This competition is also considered as the qualification stage for 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
