IRNA to be voice of Vietnam in West Asia: IRNA chief

Hashemi made the remarks speaking during a meeting with VNA chief Nguyễn Đức Lợi who has travelled to Tehran to participate in the 43rd OANA Executive Board Meeting.

The great Vietnamese nation is known in Iran with the sacred concept of resistance, Hashemi said.

What is reflected by the US media of Iran is different from what is actually observed during visits to Iran, Hashemi said, adding that Iran has no problem with the American nation, but the US approach towards Iran has always been unfair.

'Today we are in a media and economic war, and the peace-seeking people of Iran have learnt from Vietnamese people that in order to reach honorable peace, you need to defend mightily.'

The Vietnamese side, for his part, said that VNA eagerly pursues Iranian developments, particularly the difficulties caused by the United States.

He expressed the hope that the Iranian nation can overcome these difficulties.
