China not to sanction Iran: Japanese media

China is a big importer of Iranian oil, and it seems highly improbable that Beijing accept to concede to US unilateral sanctions on Iran, wrote Nikkei Asian Review.

The newspaper added that the ties between Iran and China have been basically friendly; they enjoy a close relationship in economy, energy, and trade.

According to the article, China has repeatedly stressed the continuation of normal trade ties and oil purchase from Iran.

It also said that the presidents of the two countries had a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

China, as a signatory to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as Iran Deal, is committed to the deal.

The US sanctions will not have an effect on China, especially due to the fact that Beijing has established an oil stock market based on Yuan.

In addition, Iran like what there was before the 2012 agreement, has agreed to receive Yuan as payments.
